Dr. Noyes and co-authors Sue Barber-Westin, BS and Stephanie Smith, MS had the opportunity to present an exhibit at the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery entitled “Which Anterior Cruciate Ligament Prevention Programs Are Effective in Decreasing Injury Rates and Improving Neuromuscular Indices in female Athletes?”  Sportsmetrics is the largest ACL injury prevention and performance program in the world and was developed by Dr Noyes.  Dr Noyes stated that; “The program is entirely non-profit and provided by our Foundation to help young athletes prevent a serious knee injury with sports participation.”  The research showed that Sportsmetrics does have a rigorous scientific proven base of research that proves its benefit in reducing female knee injuries.  Sportsmetrics is now in 1,280 sites and over 2,200 instructors have been certified throughout North America and the world.
