Meniscus Repair Findings

On July 13, 2013, Dr. Noyes was invited to discuss his 3 decades of experience in meniscus repair at the Annual Meeting of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine in Chicago, Ill. This is the most highly regarded national and international meeting of orthopaedic surgeons who specialize in sports medicine held annually. Dr. Noyes presented a series of cases to an expert panel and lead the discussion of the feasibility, surgical techniques, and results of repair of a variety of meniscus tears. Dr. Noyes has long advocated preservation of meniscus tissue whenever possible in younger active patients, including very large tears and those that extend into the central avascular zone.
